The Tell-Tale Heart

The Tell-Tale Heart
is a wonderful animated short film of 1953 based on Edgar Allan Poe short-story. The story told by a mad man has a dark visual with a perfect work of narration by James Mason. It is a UPA Production and was the first cartoon to be X-rated (adults only) in Great Britain under the British Board of Film Censors classification system. Really great - you have to see it. Death and Fire, painting on burlap by Paul Klee, 1940; in the Museum of Fine Arts, Bern, Switzerland
I see him quite often now -- sometimes at a distance, sometimes close by. Sometimes around a corner, or up a stair. Always walking, taking his time -- in no hurry. He has all the time in the world. Today we met in a rainstorm, he had a friend with him and asked for change -- it’s just not time yet. Hooded, most of the time he wears a hood -- at those times and most of the time, I never see his face, but I know he sees mine.
Suddenly, without warning, he drops his shroud, I see his face, he nods and smiles -- he has all the time in the world…

Barack Hussein Obama, II

Today's is this blogger's birthday -- I have always been fond of the fact that I share my birthday with Roger Clemens and the late Queen Mother of England. Whenever I encounter an overly egotistical and troublesome prima donna in the profession of theater, I give a stern warning -- "Don't fuck with me, I have the same birthday as Roger Clemens and the Queen Mother!"

Who else has a birthday today? …why Barack Hussein Obama!
